Join IAG!

This is good time to renew your IAG membership or join IAG for the first time. Individuals engaged in geodesy can become members of the IAG on application and payment of the membership fee. Students and retired people are exempt from the membership fee. Members have the right to participate in the IAG election process both as a nominator and a nominee and have a possibility to become a correspondent member in a Sub-commission or Study Group of choice. Moreover there will be reduction in the registration fee for IAG meetings.

Members’ voluntarily contribution to the IAG Funds are greatly appreciated.  Funds are used for travel support for young scientists, to assist in the organization of IAG workshops in developing countries, and to provide annual IAG Best Publication Award for young scientists.

International Autumn School "NEROGRAV"

The International Autumn School "NEROGRAV" will take place 5-9 October 2020 in Bad Neuenahr (near Bonn), Germany. The school is organized by the Research Unit NEROGRAV (New Refined Observations of Climate Change from Spaceborne Gravity Missions) which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). It will educate a group of 35 Ph.D. students and junior scientists in state of the art satellite gravimetry data processing and applications of mass transport data in Earth system sciences related with the global water cycle, the oceans, the cryosphere or the atmosphere.

It is an open forum and contributors are welcome to send material (preferably in electronic form) to the IAG COB (newsletter@iag-aig.org). These contributions should complement information sent by IAG officials or by IAG symposia organizers (reports and announcements). The IAG Newsletter is published monthly.
